The activities "Spread to the small municipalities" are aimed to disseminate methodologies and information to support the local administrators and citiziens for correct management of the environmental, economic and social aspects (European Directive 2003/4/CE about pubblic access to environmental information), in the municipalities under 5000 inhabitants, mountain communities and other territorial administrations.
The Service has developed methodology which disseminates evironmental sustainability knowledge and is based on three operative tools that allow easy consultation and use of environmental, economic and social data, for a sustainable territorial development:

• the Ecocadastre, is a data base available on-line, which collects the main data of the small Municipalities according to appropriate indicators, in order to spread information about environmental protection;
• the Ecoplan, allows the analysis and assessment of environmental features through the integrated graphic visualization of the different local situations, on the basis of Ecocatasto data;
• the Ecobalance, provides technical and scientific support to local Administration through a comparison of environmental Ecocatasto data with average and reference values of european and italian laws.
